About Bless God

Life is full of twists and turns. Mountaintop experiences full of jubilant moments. Valleys that drive us to question our faith as we strive to maintain normalcy amongst life’s trials and pain.

In October of 2016, I entered a valley. My dad was diagnosed unexpectedly with a Stage IV Glioblastoma Multiforme brain tumor. The diagnosis landed in our laps two days after we celebrated his 66th birthday with apple pie and laughter around my dining room table.

To say that we were shocked would be an understatement. But something happened out of the ash of this circumstance. I watched my dad face unspeakable trial with unshakable faith. His mantra throughout the journey?

Bless God.

I don’t think any of us would willingly choose hardship. But what I’m continually learning is that these moments are not punishment, rather opportunities to participate with God in what He has for my life.

My dad encouraged me not to succumb to the breakneck speeds of worldliness. He encouraged me to sit by the well of God’s word, rest in His peace, and trust His guidance.

This page is a work in progress. It pushes me to a place of vulnerability in sharing my written word. May the Lord richly bless you and show you His goodness whether you are currently resting upon the mountaintop or hunkered down in the valley.

Join me by the well. Bless God.
